John Nneka Francisca

Francisca was born in Lagos, Nigeria in 1986. She graduated in 2008 from the College of Law of Nigeria’s prestigious private university, Igbinedion University Edo State Nigeria with an Honorary Degree in Law. While at the College of Law, Igbinedion University Okada, she was an active member of the Law Student’s Association, Okada Branch.

Immediately following the College of Law, Francisca enrolled in the Nigerian Law School where she was called to the Nigerian Bar as Solicitor and Advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria 2010.

 

Sequel to her membership in one of the leading Lagos law firms (D.A.Awosika & Partners LLP), Francisca acquired significant professional practice experience from her earlier employment in the firm of Dan Aletor & Co. in Lagos Nigeria in 2011. She was actively involved in General Litigation and practice.

 

Francisca joined the law Firm of D.A.Awosika & Partners LLP in February 2012. In her years of practice, she has handled matters (both of a contentious and non-contentious nature) relating to Intellectual Property and amongst others are General Litigation, Maritime law, Oil and Gas Law, Criminal Law, Land Law, Banking Law, Company Law, Copyright Law, Commercial & Corporate Litigation Corporate Governance, Legal drafting and Documentation of Commercial Transactions with increasing emphasis in Civil Litigation. She is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association. She is currently an associate partner in the Law of D.A. Awosika & Partners LLP.

 

Her attention to details, passion for excellence and the hunger to carve a niche in the legal profession are some of the qualities that set her apart as an exceptional and prolific litigator. Francisca has currently undertaken legal work for banks including Sterling Bank Plc, Diamond Bank Plc as a recovery officer amongst others; Company Secretarial Practice and Regulatory Compliance with some Oil and Gas companies. She has prepared Briefs of Argument before the Appellate Courts and the Apex court.

 

She has developed great proficiency as a result of her being certified in Corporate governance and secretarial studies by the prestigious Deloitte. She advises different indigenous and international companies on a range of commercial matters including Corporate Restructuring, Corporate Governance, Company Secretarial functions and Dispute Resolution.
